Toddler Toys- Paxton's Current Favorites
Entertaining a 2 year old can sometimes be a challenge. They get distracted so easily and move on to the next activity (or mischief). For the past few months these toys have been at the top of his entertainment list! He can play with each of these for several minutes (haha) at a time.
Big Red Barn - I love that this barn comes with the animals and the farmer. I also love the imaginative play that comes with this. Open ended toys can sometimes be a challenge for some toddlers. But I have found that if I sit and model how to play then he will be able to mimic that play when he is playing by himself! It's the cutest.
Car Ramp - My son LOVES cars. Anything with wheels excites him. I love that his toy comes with little garages and a gas pump so he pretends to park them. Get them out. Then fill up their gas. Another toy for open ended play, my favorite!
FisherPrice triple pack - I got these three toys for Paxton when he was a baby. I thought for sure he would entertain himself with these. I was wrong. He didn't start loving these toys until recently! I know each child is different, but I have noticed that if I put toys away for a while then bring them out later it is like a brand new toy all over again! He found these in our toy trunk and has been loving them for a while now. I wonder if my 5 month old will like them earlier... we shall see!
Tabletop Easel - I love this cute double sided easel. It has a white board and a chalk board and magnetic letters. The former kindergarten teacher in my loves this so much. The opportunities for learning are endless! We practice our letters with this and he loves drawing on the whiteboard and chalk board.
Piano Car - This has been one of Paxton's favorite toys for so long. He loves the music it plays and he takes it with us on our walks every single day. He loves this car so much.
Wooden Tow truck - Like I said my son is obsessed with anything with wheels. And as a mother I personally love that this toy doesn't have any buttons. I know buttons and music and lights are super entertaining for children, but this wooden toy gives us a nice quiet break. He loves pretending to pick up the red car with the blue tow truck, but sometimes will just play with the two separately.
