The Best Baby Sleep Products

This is just one mama’s opinion on the best baby sleep products. Sleep training is so important to me. I love following schedules and routines and I LOVE sleep. The first few weeks after bringing my first baby home I did so much research on sleep products and sleep training so that, selfishly, I could get MY sleep back. And of course because I knew how important setting up good sleep habits early would benefit both baby and mama.  So, these are some of the best products that I’ve used with both of my babies that have helped us SO much in getting some real good sleep.

1. Snoo - You guys. I cannot say enough good things about the Snoo. When we first brought our daughter home I was so skeptical about it. I wasn't sure about her moving all night long. But I read review after review and did my own research and just love the fact that it was created by a Doctor. If you read my post on surviving life with a newborn and a toddler you'll see that I mention the first 4 weeks are major survival mode. So, her first 4 weeks she did not take to it. But oh my goodness week 5 she gave me 10 hours of sleep and she hasn't looked back. The Snoo is amazing. Yes, it is pricy. But you can rent it!! That's what my husband and I chose to do so that way when we are done you just return it and you save so much money. But honestly, I wish I would have paid full price for it because you can NOT put a price on a full nights rest. You need it. Trust me. I also love that it comes with it's own app so you can control it from your phone if you want to motion to speed up, slow down, or stop. There is also a weening setting so that when you're ready to transition them to the crib it helps with that too!

2. Halo  If you aren't willing to try out the Snoo, we used the halo bassinest for my son, Paxton. I loved the swivel feature and how the rim would go down when you reach in to get your baby. I put the dock-a-tot inside and it worked perfectly. I also loved the mesh siding. It made me feel so comfortable that he was getting safe sleep!

3. This sound machine. I love this thing. It has 3 different sounds. It’s portable. And the battery life is amazing. Using a sound machine with your baby (or toddler) helps them fall asleep faster and helps them feel safe and relaxed because it mimics the sounds of the womb.

4. The SwaddleMe  Some babies love them, some babies don’t. I personally love these swaddles because they are so adjustable and transitional. You can swaddle both arms, one arm, then no arms to transition out of it. I have both of these and love them. The SwaddleMe pod has a zipper and is for newborns. And the other ones are for when they get a bit bigger.

5. Dock-a-tot.  I never used this as a co-sleeper like it was meant to. I placed it in both of my baby’s bassinets because it helped them feel more snug when they were going to sleep. I also love how portable it is for couch naps, or traveling, or even lounging outside.

6. Vtech Monitor: One of the main reasons I felt so comfortable moving my babies into their cribs so early was because of this video monitor! Truthfully there are a lot of great monitors on the market I personally didn't feel like I needed to spend too much because these work just fine. I also prefer monitors that are not on the phone. I just feel more comfortable that it is not relying on wifi.

7. Humidifier. I have read a lot about how humidifiers are so helpful in baby rooms. It helps keep the air moist and that can be very beneficial to their sleep. Plus it helps prevent dry skin which babies are super prone to!
